Archaeologist Ben Robinson travels to Solva and Porthgain two coastal villages in Pembrokeshire as part of BBC history series “Villages by the Sea”.
Ben discovers lime kilns in Solva and explores how the village becomes famous for quicklime for both agriculture and building industry.
He travels to Porthgain to uncover its past, how the village was built for industry from a slate quarry, brickworks and exploring granite stone for making roads in the United Kingdom (UK).
