Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services (PAVS)
What We Do
PAVS gives support to a number of different types of groups in Pembrokeshire, including charities, support groups and other types of voluntary organisations.
PAVS also supports people:
The Community Connectors
There are four Community Connectors in Pembrokeshire, it is their job to meet with people to help will all sorts of things. They can support people to take positive steps to improve health, be more social, get out and about and help people enjoy life where they live. This might be through volunteering, linking with a local group, club or even something like community transport.
Volunteering
Volunteering is where you do an activity or task where you are not paid, for the benefit of someone other than yourself or your family.
There are lots of volunteering roles available across Pembrokeshire (over 400) and PAVS can help you find something to suit you. A Volunteering Officer will arrange an appointment to have a chat over the phone or face-to-face, in order to find out what you might be interested in. They will do their best to find something that matches what you would like to do and can help you apply for the role.
There are roles available in lots of different areas including charity shops, outdoors, with animals, with young people, with older people and much more.
PAVS can even help you get a certificate for the number of hours you volunteer, volunteers can get a certificate for 50,100,200 hours of volunteering.
