My name is Rachel Bailey and I am an employment champion for people with Learning Disabilities. 

I have Cerebral Palsy which I have had all of my life. My Cerebral Palsy affects my speech and mobility.  This can be challenging for me on a daily basis and for other people at times. With patience it does get easier over time.  I like to my live life to the fullest!!

I think employers should employ people with disabilities to give us a chance to be able to show what disabled people are capable of.  Being disabled myself can be very isolating because I feel different to everybody else going out and finding a job. 

Just because we have a disability doesn’t mean we are not employable.  Everybody does have a talent and have abilities in some way.  To be given a chance would mean a lot to us.  A person shouldn’t be dictated or judged on their disability or health condition.  The work place needs to have acceptance and equal rights.
